Why does so much mail to Yahoo bounce?

I know several people (half a dozen or perhaps more) with Yahoo EMail
addresses, EMails to them nearly always bounce back and often continue
to bounce around for many days.

It only rarely happens with other mail addresses.

At one time I would try resending or resending using another address of
mine, but I just cannot be bothered now.

If you are sending from a domain without SPF/DKIM records, then that
will likely be the reason ... but it will also bounce to gmail, outlook,
hotmail etc too.

I had this with my main email address, hosted with Heart Internet. It
transpired that Yahoo had been spammed by some Heart hosted IP addresses
so it just blocked them all, Heart was unable to do anything about it.

I suspected something like that, people like Yahoo seem to be very quick
to blacklist smaller companies.

I can send using BTInternet OK.

I have just put a warning in my signature aimed at people using those
companies.
