Has anyone yet manage to add their Plusnet email account to
Outlook(New) news client? I'm now running window 10 on a Toshiba Laptop
(Tosh), which had 'Mail for Windows' installed when I first change
computers. My ancient Advent Netbook had Windows XP installed and it
isn't suitable to run W10. It also had the 'Outlook Express' version 6
installed and that was fine. When I invested in "Tosh" I was able to add
both my Plusnet and Google accounts to 'Mail for Windows'.
Unfortunately that will be superseded by 'Outlook(New)' soon, and it
won't allow me to add my plusnet account to it. Plusnet Technical dept
can't help and point me to the Plusnet forum. It appears that very few
solutions, other than using another third party email client instead of
'Outlook(New)', have been found. So are there any real solutions out
there.

Can you tell how you set it up?
Can you use a sniffer like Wireshark to check if there is any IMAP/SMTP
traffic?

'fraid not Marco. That sounds well above my pay grade. :(

It's woeful!

Mine spends several minutes "loading" and then refuses to show any emails.

I use thunderbird so sorry I can't help with Outlook.

Yes I could do that, as, strangely that does allow me to sign in with
my address that Plusnet claim to have lost. But it would be better to
have all my email in the same place, like it had been for many years
now, before Outlook turned up.

I do that by pulling all incoming mail from old ISP accounts into a
GMAIL account. There are instructions here:-

then I add that to Outlook....
